Terence Gishen
Vice President

Terence Gishen is the Vice President of Capital Markets for Emerson Equity, with more than 20 years of international investment management and securities industry experience.

In his role at Emerson Equity, he works directly with the firm's President to develop private and institutional equity portfolios, in addition to providing his clients with tailored solutions that meet their specific investment needs.

Prior to joining Emerson Equity, Mr. Gishen was Founder of Nexus Investment Group, a Registered Investment Advisory firm where he structured the leadership hedge fund and private equity portfolios, developed strategic planning models and provided clients with investment planning advice. In addition to providing strategic portfolio planning for his high net worth clients, he managed the firm's strategic planning and compliance-related programs, and developed proprietary analytics and asset management models.

In the 1990s, Mr. Gishen was a Registered Investment Advisor at AXA Advisors, a leading financial planning and wealth management firm. In this role, he reviewed portfolio positions and implemented forward planning initiatives to meet his clients' objectives.

Earlier in his career, he was a Financial Consultant providing financial and economic analysis, business planning, capital structuring and market analysis for a number of entities based in the UK and South Africa. He also established syndicated investment networks, and formulated and managed the implementation of business plans related to offshore corporate operations for a financial holding firm.

Mr. Gishen holds a Bachelor of Commerce and Economic Science degree from the University of South Africa (UNISA) with a triple major in Macro/Micro Economics, Applied Economics and Business Economics. He also holds FINRA Series 6, 7, 24, 63 and 65 Licenses, as well as variable life and disability licenses.
