Kathleen Morrissey Kathleen Morrissey, Vice President of Emerson Equity, brings to the firm nearly 20 years of senior level securities industry experience at leading financial services firms such as Banc of America Investment Services, Citicorp Investment Services, Dean Witter, Pershing/Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette and the N.A.S.D. In her role at Emerson Equity, she continues her career-long focus on developing clear, step-by-step investment strategies to help individual and small business clients reach their financial goals. In addition, Ms. Morrissey is involved in selective recruiting efforts to hire quality, experienced brokers who are both passionate about results and objective in their advice. Immediately prior to joining Emerson Equity, she was an Investment Consultant at Girard Securities. From 2001 to 2004, Ms. Morrissey was an Investment Consultant with Banc of America Investment Services in San Francisco. While at Banc of America, she specialized in creating and implementing retirement planning and college funding strategies. For the five years prior to this, she was an Assistant Vice President at Pershing, a division of Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette in San Francisco. In this position, she was responsible for business development on the West Coast with new broker/dealers, as well as increasing incremental business with existing clients. She also demonstrated the company's existing products and systems, and represented the firm at industry conferences and trade shows. Earlier, she was an Examiner at the N.A.S.D., where she inspected the financial records of member firms for capital requirements, and assisted broker/dealers in establishing and maintaining compliance of sales practice. From 1991 to 1994 she was a Senior Investment Consultant at Citicorp Investment Services where she guided a team of six investment consultants that advised both individual and small business clients on their investment portfolios. The team's focus included a range of investment vehicles from mutual funds and fixed and variable annuities, to stocks and bonds. She entered the securities industry in 1987 as an Account Executive at Dean Witter Reynolds, developed a client base of 400 clients with substantial assets under management.
Ms. Morrissey holds a B.S. in Business Administration and Communications from Saint Mary's College of California. In addition, she holds N.A.S.D. Series 7, 24, 63 and insurance licenses, including California life and disability.
